This a small old fashioned bar on Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn NY. I don't know how long it's been there but seems like it's been there for many years. You can hardly notice it's there and it's hard to find if it's your first time going there. It feels a bit run down and like the place is falling apart but it's part of the character or feel of the bar. The drinks menu is printed on old fashioned parchment paper. They serve great cocktails, draft beers and wine. I had an awesome draft beer from Finback brewery served in a tall elegant glass. The first time I had a a draft beer and potato chips. The beer was on point and hit the spot. I laugh so hard and was amused by the comedy I came to see. The surroundings are sketchy but the bar is nice. There's live jazz during the week and stand-up comedy on Sundays. The drinks are fairly priced and are really good. Hardly any food options only drinks but there's some spots outside of the bar in the area. You can order chips with your drinks but as far as I know they're not free. The bartender are not annoying and are very quiet. They don't rush you to buy another drink and you can enjoy the show. Although it seems like a hole in the ground and just another bar but in reality it's an awesome neighborhood place for locals and non locals. Inside is where all the fun happens I highly recommend Bar Bayeux.i was there twice and plan to go comeback.Great vibes!!!

Cool space featuring good music. We saw some younger guys playing and they were definitely very hip and had some interesting influences. My understanding is that there is a lot of more classic jazz as well, but I'm excited to go back and see for myself.

Lovely new spot! Has a dark intimate atmosphere with a great cocktail menu and skill bartenders! It's along my walk home now that Winthrop station is closed for 3 months. Will probably be a regular here

A Jazz lounge on Nostrand?! Pouring rain, a buddy of mine sought shelter here for some whiskey. Amazingly, Bill Hart in his 80's on the drums (played with Herbie Hancock in the 70's) is playing with a trio. Just some random night. One of those amazing tucked-away places of NY with a high-end whiskey and spirits menu.

small and intimate and very nearly perfect. incredible cocktails! consistently great combos and bands. ambiance is amazing and everyone is lovely and makes drinks with a lot of care. the backyard is UNDERRATED! only things missing: a longer beer list (maybe a cider? i can dream!) and some more flex seating/standing - it fills up QUICK!

Neighborhood bar with great live jazz. Cozy, mellow ambiance with dim lights and a back patio. The Dapper Dan is there to please if you're a lover of Scotch.

My favorite bar in the neighborhood!! What a gem. The vibe is amazing the cocktails are sophisticated and delicious. They have live jazz music every night ! Their price is so so friendly compare to the rest of the city.

Fantastic bar. Great jazz music. Cocktails are delicious. Bartenders are always friendly. Go sip a Mixed & Fixed while listening to the smooth sounds of ivory and bass on a Friday night - your weekend will be complete as soon as it starts.

Wow we stumbled upon this place in the middle of the night as tourists and enjoyed a private jazz concert. The drinks were pretty cheap and the bartenders were all friendly. I loved the vibes in this place and it was such a hole in the wall find.

Love this place, went on Saturday night for two sets of jazz including steel pan. The staff are Friendly, lovely cocktail menu and super chill ambient. No coverage, but make sure to tip the talented musicians
